We sell technology solutions (software development, IT, cyber security) and services (administrative support, financial services, etc) to US government clients. As a native Hawaiian organization we get special contracting privileges with the government, so the immediate ability to identify us as “Hawaiian” is important. I like the idea of a Hokule'a canoe / sail - or 2 to show cooperation. Holo Holo in this sense means “to go for a sail.” The name was formerly Laulima but I just discovered that someone else has this same name that provides government services.

Laulima in Hawaiian literally translates to “many hands,” the meaning of laulima is tied to the idea of cooperation, of the power of people working together. I like the idea of a knot or something connected to symbolize this idea - and maybe even hands holding each other but without it being too on the nose. I was also kicking around the idea of somehow incorporating the bird of paradise flower into the hands because they look a lot like hands. Bird of paradise is a distinctly Hawaiian flower. I added some ideas of very generic logos I pulled from vista print but I’m not married to any of them. The one with the people looks a bit too much like they are dancing.
